Add images to a tier list
Add images to a tier list with local JPG, PNG or WebP files. Learn the thumbnail, file-size and 80-tile limits before importing.
Supported image files
Choose Add images and select JPEG, PNG or WebP files. Each file can be up to 5 MiB (about 5.2 MB), with no more than 24 megapixels. The board supports 80 tiles total, including existing text and image tiles. If a batch would exceed that limit, choose fewer files or remove tiles first. Resize larger camera photos before importing.
What happens to an image
Your browser decodes each file and fits it into a 160 × 160 JPEG thumbnail on a pale background. The image is fitted rather than cropped, so wide or tall pictures can have padding. Transparent files receive that background. This smaller thumbnail is what appears in the board, PNG export and JSON backup.
Image names and readability
An image tile takes its label from the file name without the extension, limited to 60 characters. Use meaningful file names before importing. The editor does not have a tile-renaming control; to change an image caption, rename the original file, remove that tile, and import the file again. Check that your images and captions are suitable to share before posting the PNG.
When importing fails
Unsupported types, oversized files and images that cannot be decoded produce a status message. A failed batch is not partly added to the board. Browser storage can also fill up with many thumbnails. If the page reports a save failure, export a JSON backup before leaving or refreshing; the board may still be available in the current page.
