Privacy & local data
Understand local data in Tier Studio: browser-saved boards, image thumbnails, JSON backups, guide bookmarks and bounded usage analytics.
Your board stays local
Board titles, tile labels, imported images and rankings are processed locally. Images become 160 × 160 thumbnails. Local storage keeps editable boards, separately for each starter; JSON exports include labels and thumbnails. This tool does not upload those contents.
Saved guides and theme
Guide bookmarks and the theme preference use separate local storage entries. They are tied to this browser and origin. Private browsing, storage restrictions or clearing site data can remove them. Export a board backup before clearing its saved data.
Usage analytics
Production pages use Google Analytics 4 under the existing Playgames property. Events measure page views and bounded tool actions such as start, PNG completion or backup export, using the product identifier, allowlisted categories and numeric counts. Typed names, board titles, tile labels, uploaded image data and file names are not sent as custom event parameters. Analytics page URLs omit queries and fragments and referrers are reduced to their origin. Google may process technical and network information under its own policies.
Your browser choices
The Google loader is not loaded when the browser reports Do Not Track as 1. Privacy extensions may also block analytics. Do Not Track is a browser signal, not an assertion that every data-processing law uses the same consent model.
Clipboard and downloads
Clipboard actions copy only after you activate a control. Downloads remain local until you share them. Copy template link shares the starter page URL; it does not transmit your saved board. A JSON backup contains editable labels and image thumbnails, so share it only when you want to share that content.
