Save and restore a tier list with JSON
Save and restore a tier list with a JSON backup. Keep editable tiles and thumbnails, move boards between browsers, and reset with care.
Automatic local saving
Custom board, Genshin Impact and Danganronpa each have a separate local save in this browser. Opening another starter does not replace the others. Returning to a starter loads its saved board when storage is available. Saves are tied to this domain and browser profile; there is no account or cross-device synchronization.
Make a portable backup
Choose Export backup to download tier-studio-backup.json with the title, tier labels and colors, tile order, every unranked tile and any image thumbnails. On another browser, open the starter where you want the save to live, choose Import backup, select the file and confirm replacement. A valid backup can be imported into any starter page; it replaces the board saved for that page, not all three local saves.
Backup limits
Choose a JSON backup no larger than 8 MB (8,000,000 bytes). The importer checks the five rows, unique tile identifiers, tile count, labels, colors and embedded thumbnails. A malformed or unsupported file is rejected before replacement is offered. The backup includes small thumbnails rather than the full-size original images.
Reset with care
Reset board restores that page’s starter names and default tiers after confirmation, replacing its saved edits. Export a JSON backup first if you want to keep them. Clearing browser site data, changing browser profiles or ending a private session can also remove local saves. An exported PNG remains a picture and cannot restore the editable board.
